Mr Thursday is a British TimeWar Commander. A veteran of the Great War, "Thursday" was appointed to a special branch of intelligence that developed into the Department of TimeWar.

Although a sceptic, he believes Traversers are up to no good and are ruining the fabric of decent society and therefore, must be stopped. His branch of the Department of TimeWar rivals Bletchley Park for the immense amount of decoding staff and personnel dedicated to cracking codes and he is believer that no rock must be unturned in order the pursuit of these Time Criminals.

His current focus is on two boutique operators, dressmakers - Damien Bowler and Phillipe Catcher who have shops on the High Street. He has enlisted a young trainee agent called Harriet Hughes to scope the scene, but the situation may not be so easy or safe because Traversers are committed obsessives.

Nonetheless, Mr. Thursday (all operatives have taken names from the calendar year to hide their true identity) runs a tight ship and is committed to stopping those who disrespect both travel and time.

I always like to begin my filming schedule with Mr James Charles, who has worked with comedy giants such as Michael Palin and Terry Jones. Infact, he was in one of my favourite half hour comedies of all time, the Ripping Yarns episode Escape from Stalag Luft 112B, (which focused on the only prisoner never to escape from the Prison camp!) Besides his fantastic acting ability, he was the first actor I had worked with the came from the English thespian environment I used to dream about. Our collaboration begun in 2012, when I was in search of a tyrannical but charismatic leader for my short film the 4th Wall.

He was also the very first person I ever shot professionally on a green screen, which I know has its detractors, but to me I see if following the art tradition I love where the director is a fine artist complete with subject and studio. Never really been a team work artist, myself.

Since that film, he has played a Secret Agent Commander in another half hour piece of mine, The Top Secret Adventures of Clapman (Sorry for the type casting here) and of course as the roaming Holy man in Quest for Steel. The next collaboration I hope to do with him will see him drop the RP and become a global citizen of some sort.

Of course, my praise for his skills is matched only by my praise for his good nature. He has been a patron on my art and a huge encouragement. I was saddened to hear that he had endured a series of major operations last year, one which was the focus of a television documentary, but to see him in person you would not know this, as he is as quick, glowing and as committed as ever.

Time may conquer all, but you put up fierce resistance, James.

Here's to many more collaborations, good friend!
